Usually , they're broken towards the front of the block. Going to tear it down the rest of the way and check the main journals.To the OP. When it goes into reduced engine, the ECM turns off the injector on the cylinder that is knocking, and it goes away. The damage was caused by the vibration dampener dowel pin wearing and allowing the dampener to move. I replaced the crankshaft seal behind the harmonic balancer, replaced the bolt, torqued it to 74ftlbs and then added 90 degrees. Put it all together and fire it up.
